By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. About the Service
Diplomatic Careers is a subscription-based digital service operated by Brooksburry OÜ. It provides career assessment tools, personalized roadmaps, weekly role shortlists, application tracking, and related career-planning features for people pursuing international and public-sector careers.
The Service may also identify, organize, classify, and present career-related information concerning public opportunities published by third-party institutions and organizations. Where such information is summarized, simplified, classified, or otherwise derived from publicly available source materials, those outputs are provided solely for convenience. The original source publication remains authoritative for any vacancy or opportunity.
The Service is not a recruitment agency, employment agency, staffing firm, placement service, immigration adviser, legal adviser, or representative of any employer, institution, or applicant.
2. No Affiliation or Endorsement
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Brooksburry is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, or acting on behalf of any employer, institution, international organization, governmental body, or other third party referenced through the Service.
The appearance of any institution name, source link, vacancy reference, trademark, or other identifier is for descriptive and referential purposes only and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or approval.
3. No Recruitment or Placement Services
Brooksburry does not:
- recruit, screen, shortlist, or recommend candidates;
- prepare, submit, monitor, or manage applications on behalf of users;
- negotiate or facilitate employment, consultancy, fellowship, or contractual arrangements;
- guarantee interviews, offers, placements, eligibility, or outcomes;
- provide immigration, visa, legal, tax, or relocation advice; or
- act as an intermediary between users and any employer or institution.
Any decision to apply for, rely on, or pursue an opportunity identified through the Service is made solely at your own discretion and risk.
4. Accuracy and Informational Nature of the Service
We make reasonable efforts to maintain the Service in a current and useful form. However, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Brooksburry makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, regarding the accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability, availability, legality, suitability, or relevance of any content; whether any opportunity remains open, valid, unchanged, or available; whether any derived or summarized information is free from error or omission; or whether the Service will operate uninterrupted, securely, or without defects.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying all information, including eligibility criteria, deadlines, location, grade, contract terms, compensation, and application procedures, directly against the original source.
5. Original Source Prevails
Where any discrepancy exists between information presented on the Service and the corresponding information published by the original employer, institution, or source website, the original source publication shall prevail.
Brooksburry does not warrant that summaries, simplified descriptions, normalized fields, classifications, translations, or extracted metadata fully reflect the original text, legal meaning, or current status of the source material.
6. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for your own use of the Service and for any decisions made on the basis of information obtained through it.
You must not rely on the Service as a substitute for your own due diligence, professional judgment, legal advice, immigration advice, career advice, or direct verification with the relevant institution or employer.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
7. Accounts and Access
Certain parts of the Service require registration, account creation, or a paid subscription. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
Access is provided through secure sign-in methods such as email magic links. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at contact@diplomatic.careers if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that account security has been compromised or these Terms have been violated.
8. Subscription Access and Billing
Access to paid features of the Service may be offered on a subscription basis.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Checkout, invoicing, payment processing, subscription management, and related billing functions may be administered through Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms and notices presented at checkout, together with these Terms and our Billing Policy.
Failure to pay applicable fees when due may result in suspension or termination of access to paid features.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service:
- in any unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, or harmful manner;
- to infringe the intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights of any person or entity;
- to copy, scrape, harvest, mirror, crawl, bulk-download, systematically extract, or otherwise reproduce substantial portions of the Service by automated or non-automated means, except where expressly permitted in writing;
- to interfere with or disrupt the security, integrity, availability, or operation of the Service;
- to misrepresent Brooksburry's relationship with any institution, source, or employer; or
- to use information obtained through the Service in a way that violates applicable law or third-party terms.
We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Service where we reasonably believe misuse has occurred.

11. Third-Party Content and Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, or source pages. Such links are provided solely for convenience and reference.
Brooksburry does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, legality, accuracy, security, or privacy practices of any third-party website or service. Access to third-party websites is at your own risk and subject to the terms and policies of those third parties.

Please include sufficient information to identify the relevant content and the basis of your request. Brooksburry may investigate the matter and, where appropriate, correct, remove, restrict, or annotate the relevant content.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Brooksburry and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive loss or damage arising out of or in connection with access to, use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Service; inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, simplified, translated, normalized, or misclassified information; decisions to apply for, decline, accept, or pursue any opportunity; interactions or dealings with any third-party institution, employer, platform, or organization; service downtime, technical failure, data loss, security incident, unauthorized access, or transmission failure; or any loss of opportunity, revenue, income, profits, reputation, goodwill, or expected benefit.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent such exclusion or limitation is prohibited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection law.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brooksburry, its affiliates, and its respective directors, officers, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or connected with your misuse of the Service; your breach of these Terms; your violation of applicable law; or your infringement of any third-party rights.
16. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to all or part of the Service at any time where we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms; your use of the Service creates legal, compliance, security, or operational risk; required payment has not been made; or continued provision of the Service is no longer commercially or legally feasible.
Termination or suspension does not affect any rights or obligations that by their nature are intended to survive termination.
17. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may update, suspend, modify, discontinue, or restrict any part of the Service at any time, subject to applicable law.
We may also amend these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after the updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that consumers may have under the law of their country of habitual residence.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Estonia, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
