This Billing Policy applies to purchases of paid access, subscriptions, and related digital services sold through the Diplomatic Careers website or associated checkout flow.
1. Scope
This policy applies to purchases of paid access, subscriptions, and related digital services sold through the Diplomatic Careers website or Stripe checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Checkout terms and billing notices presented at the point of purchase apply to the transaction together with this policy.
2. Subscription Billing
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis at the interval selected at checkout, such as monthly, quarterly, or annually, until cancelled.
By purchasing a subscription, you authorize recurring charges at the applicable rate, together with any applicable taxes and fees disclosed at checkout.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings in the Stripe Customer Portal, if available, or by contacting us at contact@diplomatic.careers.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated at checkout:
- cancellation stops future renewals;
- cancellation does not retroactively void charges already incurred; and
- your access will continue until the end of the current paid billing period, after which the subscription will not renew.
4. Subscription charges
Except where required by applicable law, subscription fees are not refundable once the applicable paid subscription period has begun.
Charges are not credited for:
- partial subscription periods;
- unused time;
- failure to cancel before a renewal date;
- dissatisfaction based solely on preference where the Service has been made available as purchased; or
- failure to use the Service during an active subscription period.
5. Billing corrections
We may correct erroneous charges where:
- you were charged more than once for the same subscription by mistake;
- a renewal charge was processed due to a technical error attributable to us or Stripe;
- you were incorrectly billed after a valid cancellation; or
- applicable law requires a correction or refund.
6. EU and EEA Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days in accordance with applicable law. Certain exceptions may apply to digital content and digital services, including where performance begins during the withdrawal period with your prior express request or consent and acknowledgment that your withdrawal right may thereby be lost or limited to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived or excluded under applicable law.
7. Billing inquiries
For billing, cancellation, or charge inquiries, contact contact@diplomatic.careers and include your name, account email, and relevant order or invoice details.
8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us first so that we can review the matter and attempt to resolve it promptly.
Initiating an unjustified chargeback or payment dispute may result in suspension or termination of access to the Service while the matter is under review. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks where we believe the charge was valid.
9. Changes to Prices
We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price change will apply prospectively and will not affect the current paid period already purchased, unless otherwise permitted by applicable law and disclosed in advance.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may amend this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after the updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
