International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Entry Programmes
The IAEA offers three structured entry routes. Students and recent graduates can apply for internships. Government-sponsored young professionals can enter through the JPO programme. A separate fellowship supports women studying nuclear-related master's degrees.

Entry programmes
IAEA Internship Programme
The IAEA Internship Programme offers practical experience to university students and recent graduates. Full-time internships receive a monthly stipend. Applicants must be at least 20 and have completed three years of full-time university study. Recent graduates can apply within one year of completing a degree. Placements last from three months to one year. Source

IAEA Junior Professional Officer Programme
The IAEA JPO programme gives government-sponsored young professionals experience at the P-1 or P-2 level. Applicants are normally under 32, hold a first university degree and have at least two years of experience. Assignments last one year and may be extended for a second year. Source

- Eligibility: Applicants must be nationals of a Member State with an IAEA JPO agreement and receive a government recommendation.

- Sponsoring governments publish and nominate candidates under their own schedules.

IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme
The fellowship supports women from IAEA Member States who are pursuing a master's degree in a nuclear-related field. Fellows can receive up to EUR 10,000 each year for tuition and another EUR 10,000 each year for living costs. Support can last up to two years, and an IAEA internship may also be offered. Source
